It's always easier for GMs to pick an established NHL coach to recycle then to try someone new. I applaud all the GMs who have the courage to try someone new.
Who ever they choose is a crap shoot. That's just the nature of the situation.
They shouldn't have tried to control how Gallant coached, and they shouldn't have fired him.
All there is now is hope, just hope they can pick the exact right coach for this team on the first try.
